VIVA LA MEXICO!

We are headed out of the country to Playa del Carmen, Mexico, tomorrow! We are going with my sister, Ingrid, and her husband, Jacob. We can't wait. We'll be back late Sunday and I promise to post pictures next week. Until then, hasta luego amigos y amigas! We'll be on the beach, drinking pina coladas, and wishing you were there with us...

FUN AT WORK

Last week, we had a fun work night. Denise and I had the opportunity to spend some time with a few of our favorite doctors in Brownwood. Of course we had business to do, but we also had a fun night with the girls. We had dinner at The Turtle. The food is slow (as the name suggests, but definitely worth the wait...) Our friend, Dr. Cheryl Hurd, is moving at the end of the month to Ft. Worth. We will miss her, but wish her the very best of luck in her new endeavor. Here is a cute picture from the evening...

GARY'S 60TH BIRTHDAY PARTY

Last weekend we attended our good friend, Gary Gruben's surprise 60th birthday party in Johnson City. We had a great time! The birthday boy outlasted everyone and was out til 3. We only made it til about 1:30. We stayed at a cute bed and breakfast called Chantilly Lace. You should definitely stay there if you are ever in Johnson City. Gary and Princess are dear friends of ours who lived in Eldorado for several years. They throw the best parties and we always love getting to spend time with them. Here are a few pictures...

MUSIC DISCLAIMER

For our avid readers, you may have noticed the addition of music to the blog. I hope you enjoy it and if not, just turn the volume down or mute it. Most of the songs are of my choosing, however, the Mike and the Mechanics songs are Sutton's choices. Sutton and I have very different taste in music. Leave a comment and let us know if you like the music. Hope everyone has a great weekend. Keep checking back because I have some time this weekend and several posts I want to share.

ANNUAL MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND CRAWFISH BOIL

Over Memorial Day weekend every year since we have been married, we have traveled to Houston to Sutton's Aunt Sherri and Uncle Steve's house for a crawfish boil. This is one of my favorite traditions each year. This year we flew rather than drove and this is definately the way to go! This was my first time in our latest plane and it was very comfortable except for the heat when we got close to the ground. We got there on Friday evening and went to eat at Lupe Tortilla, which is another tradition. Their fajitas and tortillas are awesome! Then we went to an Astros game. We had never done this before and we had a great time. The Astros won and they had a big fireworks show after the game. Sutton's cousin,Corrie, is actually interning with the Astros this summer so she had lots of interesting tidbits to share.

On Saturday we had the crawfish boil and this year Steve and Sherri's friends joined us. Dwight is a true cajun and handled the live crawfish with his bare hands! Here are a few pictures of the fun....

SEX AND THE CITY (SAN ANGELO STYLE)

Well, I have been so excited about the Sex and the City movie. I joined my friend Ashley and a group of women for a girl's night out and viewing of the movie on Friday night. This is the first time in my life that I have actually gone to a movie on the day it opened, but there was no way I could wait to see it. It was fabulous! I cannot wait to go see it again. I am hoping that I will get to see it with my sisters. We are all big fans and it is because of my sisters, Judith and Jessica, that I started renting the dvd's in the beginning. Have you seen it? If so, please leave a comment and tell me what you thought. I also bought the soundtrack on Itunes and it is really good.
