Labor Day Weekend and Update

As usual I am behind on my blogging so I am going back to Labor Day to get caught up. We really enjoyed the long weekend and got to spend good quality time with family and friends. My sister, Ingrid, and her daughter, Georgia, came and stayed a couple of nights with us. Sutton's sister, Chelsea, also came with Casey and their daughter, Caroline. They stayed in Eldorado with Grandma Lux. Sutton and Casey went hunting and I think they had a blast. We all had dinner on Friday night at Fuentes and it was fun to watch Caroline and Georgia interact. On Saturday while the boys were hunting, Ingrid helped me set up my registry and decide what I might need for the baby. My friend, Ashley, met us at Target and we made it a fun girls day out. I am so glad these two came to help because I am clueless and there are just too many options out there. I feel so blessed to have so many experienced moms in my life who can give me good advice. We had lunch at Cheddar's which included sharing this amazing piece of chocolate cake...I have not had any real cravings besides sweet tea, but I do not pass up chocolate cake these days.

Georgia was a trooper during the trip to Target and lunch, but she was pooped by the end of the outing.

That evening we drove down to Eldorado to visit more with Chels and the rest of Sutton's family. We had a great meal and had a great time watching the girls play. The boys were late getting in and they seemed to have had a large time. (I stole this pic from Chelsea's blog...Sutton got a new toy and he enjoyed taking everyone for rides over the weekend.)

I thought this was too cute...

It was a great weekend with some rain and perfect fall weather. Following Labor Day, Sutton always gets busy with the West Texas Fair in Abilene and the Planet Ag booth, so that is what he has been up to and I have been busy with work and nesting. We had a bit of a health scare recently with one of Sutton's tests coming back bad, but fortunately the follow up catscan came back clear and we are thankful and relieved to have that behind us. Sutton beat cancer 5 years ago and so we always have that fear in the back of our minds when he goes for his checkup. Thanks to everyone who has been praying...God is so good! This weekend is our last quiet weekend for awhile so we are enjoying being close to home and getting a few things crossed off our long to-do list. Check back in a day or two and I should have the blog completely updated. Have a great weekend!

29 Weeks

We are actually 30 weeks along but we had our 3D ultrasound last week...Technology is so amazing! We were both overwhelmed by how real the pictures are and we cannot wait until she gets here in November! I am feeling really good right now thanks to the wonderful cooler weather. I am so glad fall is almost here! Here is Miss Q at 29 weeks...Please notice the second picture...I am convinced she already has her thumb up as if to say "Gig'em Aggies", however, Sutton believes she is working on getting her guns up...I guess we will just have to wait and see!

Reed and Brandi's Wedding

We attended Sutton's cousin's wedding last weekend in Horseshoe Bay and it was beautiful! I wish I had taken more pictures, but my camera died right after the ceremony...I did not even get one of the beautiful couple. When Reed graduated from Tech, he moved back to San Angelo to work and we were blessed to get to hang out alot with him during that time. Reed is not only our family but he is a very dear friend, too. We are excited to welcome Brandi to the family and look forward to all of the fun that is to come. One of the best parts of the weekend was staying in a big house at Escondido and just relaxing with Paul, Russ, Becky, Chelsea, and Casey. The weather was perfect and we had the pool all to ourselves. I think this was one of my favorite weekends of the summer. Here are a few pictures from the weekend....

A Sweet Surprise

I came home tonight to find these beauties on my dining room table and shortly after, Sutton arrived home with supper. The kitchen was clean, the dishes were put away, and the recycling had been taken to the recycling center. I have been hard on him lately and he does not deserve that at all...I am going to blame it on the pregnancy hormones. Before I thought that was a myth, but now I realize there is something to it. I have cried every day this week and I have been mean to my sweet husband. I can do better, but at least I know he still loves me. I thank God for this sweet, patient man and feel so blessed to have him as my husband and the father of our baby girl.
