Happy Monday!
I am enjoying a day off at home today. It has been hectic and I apologize for my weeklong absence. We had our POA meeting for work last week and then we had a fun weekend in Eldorado celebrating Grandma Lux's 85th birthday! I hope and pray that if I live to be 85 that I am just like Grandma Lux. She lives independently, farms and ranches, she is the one of the best cooks ever, she is one heck of a 42 player, and she is a wonderful mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend! She is a blessing to all who are lucky enough to know and love her. Sutton lived with her in high school and he learned so much about hard work and how to take care of his resources. I will post pictures from the celebration some time this week. Hope you have a great Monday and I will post again soon....

Monday Blahs
Well, after a great weekend of spending lots of time with friends and family, seeing great movies (Sutton saw Batman yesterday with his uncle), and some relaxing, it was back to the daily grind. The heat got me today and I feel drained tonight. (Also, I did not make it for my early morning walk-sorry Wendy- and I think that may be contributing to my lack of energy. I am trying to get ready to go to San Antonio on Wednesday for our POA meeting. I have prework to do, decorations to prepare, laundry to finish, and about 10 other things on my list that need to be crossed off before I leave Wednesday morning...Instead of getting it done, I am procrastinating a bit. I will be posting the rest of our family vacation pics tonight. Hope everyone is staying cool and that you have a great week!

Mamma Mia
I cannot think of a better way to spend a hot, summer, Saturday afternoon than with your girlfriends watching this movie! I went with my good friends Lori, Ashley, and Susan to see it and we all loved it. It is just a great feel good movie and those are the kind I like best. Pierce Brosnan is in it and he is so adorable! I have always loved him (back to his Remington Steele days). I have never seen the actual show so I did not know the story, but now I can't wait to see it live. Leave a comment if you have seen it and let me know what you thought... Also, I went shopping after we saw the movie and I was thinking it is too bad we can't just break out in song and dance in real life like they do in musicals...:) I almost started singing Dancing Queen in the middle of Target when I was buying the soundtrack.:) I am sure everyone there was glad I didn't! Hope everyone is having a great weekend!

As promised...
Our family vacation was alot of fun this year. We stayed at Log Country Cove near Kingsland and our weekend was filled with lots of time in the pool, great meals (including several that the boys prepared and actually cleaned up after), dominoes, a scavenger hunt created by my niece, Laurel, smores, and our first annual talent show. We also had plenty of time just to visit and catch up. One morning we all went walking and we also spent lots of time feeding babies and changing diapers. Here are some fun pictures... I will post the rest of the pictures this weekend.

Feeling blue...
Today was my first day back from family vacation, and though it was a good day, I am still feeling blue...I am really missing these sweet faces. Most of the time I am happy to come home to my quiet house, but I am missing the laughing, crying, constant chatter...It is just too quiet. We had such a nice family vacation with my parents, all of my sisters, brother-in-laws, and nieces and nephews in one place for 3 days. I will post pictures throughout the week, but this is one of my favorites. We took alot and this is one of the best. You can imagine how hard it was to get all 8 to cooperate at the same time.

Prayer Request
My best friend, Bryce, is currently on a mission trip in Mexico. They return tomorrow. Hopefully he will send an update when he returns and I will try to get it posted here. Here is an e-mail he sent asking for our prayers...
Hope this finds you doing well. A group of 30 from Cross Country Church in Holliday, TX is about to leave for a mission trip to Yucatan, Mexico on July 3. We fly into Cancun and take a bus 4 hours South deep into the Yucatan peninsula. We will be involved in orphanage construction work, backyard Bible clubs (VBS), and crusades. Please lift our group in prayer. It's a big group and there will be a lot going on. Thanks for praying for us and for the people of the Yucatan as we bring them God's word. I'm excited to see what God has got in store.
Thank y'all,Bryce
Thanks for praying for Bryce and his group. Hope you have a great day!

Happy Birthday, Judith!
Happy Birthday, Judith! I love you!
Summer Projects
We have been busy this summer with projects around the house. On my birthday, I made a list of 31 things I would like to do before I turn 32 and I have already accomplished several including cleaning out the garage and painting our bedroom. I am slowly but surely getting my school years scrapbooked. I bought a cute kit from Creating Keepsakes and each grade has 4 pages. I really like the way it is turning out and I will post pics of the finished product. I have also gotten all of the birth announcements of my nieces and nephews scrapbooked. I am just about done on my complete photo reorganization based on Stacy Julian's book, Photo Freedom. I highly recommend this book to anyone who has lots of pictures that needed to be organized. I am also working on making exercise a habit, as well as getting up at least 30 minutes earlier during the week with the help of my sweet neighbor, Wendy. Thanks, Wendy, for keeping me accountable! I also set a goal to blog more frequently and I am trying to post at least once or twice a week. I'll keep working on this one. Here are some pics of my various projects...

I have finally gotten these stacks moved into the office. This is an overwhelming project, but I have been flooded by many happy memories that I had forgotten. I am currently on third grade...

Happy Belated 4th of July!
Happy belated 4th of July! Hope everyone had a great day. My parents came for the day and we had a great time. We had lunch at Franco's, spent some time in the "redneck pool", and then enjoyed caesar salad hamburgers and homemade strawberry buttermilk ice cream. It was a relaxing, fun day. What did you do?

More Mexico Pics
Here are a few favorites from our trip...
This picture was taken the last night- As you can see we all got a little too much sun.
The Tusas on the beach
Here is a cute one of Ingrid dressed up for dinner on Saturday night. We spent the trip coming up with names for their baby girl who is due in October.
The Pages on Friday night-We had a great dinner at Asiana. This was probably the best meal of the trip.
Here is a cute one of the guys-
Sutton's favorite place was the swimup bar where he spent most of the day on Saturday. There was plenty of shade and it was cool.
Unfortunately, Ingrid and I spent Saturday laying out and we both burned. The swimup bar was on the roof and it got very hot up there. Here is a view from the roof-

We're back...Actually, we've been back...
Sorry for the delay in posting...It has been busy and I was without my normal computer last week. We had a great trip to Mexico. The only problem was that it was just too short. We spent two days hanging out by the pool, eating, drinking fun tropical drinks, and having a great time. Our hotel was all inclusive and also had entertainment at night (kind of cheesy, but very enjoyable.) Every morning we would enjoy a huge breakfast buffet. On the last day, our maid created a beautiful surprise on the bed with a towel and fresh flowers. The third picture is a view from our room. If we went back, I think I would like to upgrade to the ocean front view. Ours was the ocean view and I was a little disappointed. Overall, the hotel was great and it was exactly the vacation we wanted. Here are a few pictures from around the hotel...I'll post the rest tomorrow.
