One of those days...

Today was one of those days where I really enjoyed my work. It was one of those days where my offices were all in good moods and I was reminded that all of my years of calling on them really has equated into great relationships. I had some really good product conversations with a few of my doctors, conversations where you walk away and know they are going to use more of your product based on the information that was shared. I ran into two elementary/ high school classmates and my old county agent who I had not seen in years! I also saw my mentor and old work partner and it was nice to catch up with him. I talked to one of my dearest college friends on the phone (we haven't talked in a couple of years, not counting Facebook and blogs)...I had good conversations with random strangers as I was waiting to see my doctors. I got my haircut at lunch and and enjoyed catching up with my hairstylist who has become a great friend over the past 3 years. I loved getting to sit in the back of the salon and eat lunch with her before she cut my hair. It was just a great day of connecting and enjoying people. In my line of work, it does not always go this way, so I had to take a moment to reflect and be thankful for a really good day at work. On top of all of that, I got to come home tonight and watch a new episode of Grey's Anatomy with my sweet Sutton, who I had not seen since Monday! One more good thing about today- it is my dear friend, Ashley's birthday. Ash- Happy Birthday! Hope you have had a good day, too...

An update

I stole this pic from Jessica's blog...It was too cute not to share. Can't wait to meet Sam, unfortunately I will have to wait about a month because of a very busy schedule the next few weeks.

Also, my blogging has been limited lately. The morning sickness has set in and it comes and goes throughout the day and night. Please be patient with me and I promise to return to a more frequent blog routine when I start feeling better. Even our house is a mess- I still haven't unpacked from our trip over Easter. I just can't seem to get it together right now...I have taken to doing my computer work in bed and I haven't been in the kitchen in two weeks- the refrigerator and pantry make me nauseous. Yesterday was especially rough but fortunately my doctor gave me a script for phenergan and I was able to make it through my poa meeting today without getting sick at all. In fact, this was the first morning in almost two weeks I did not feel like I was going to vomit when I got out of bed. I know this is just a short time and it will all be more than worth it when the baby gets here!

I have to say that Sutton has been so sweet. In fact, tonight I got home after my meeting to find a surprise on my nightstand (he knows the bed is the first place I go these days when I get home). He makes me shakes, picks up food, and brings me ginger ale and crackers every night before we go to bed so I will have them in the morning. I am a really lucky girl!

Hope you are having a good week. I should have some time to get Easter pics posted this weekend, so please check back then.

Welcome to the world, Sam!

My sister, Jessica, had a baby boy today! Sam William Detten arrived about 4:15 this afternoon weighing in at 8 lbs. 1 oz. He is welcomed by big brother, Jack, and big sisters, Rachael and Avery. Jessica and Dennis never find out the gender of the baby, so it is always a fun surprise. Check out their blog, the Dirt on the Dettens, for pictures of Sam and more information...She was blogging while she was in labor, so I have a feeling she will have it updated tonight. Sam's arrival evens the count on the Oman side- 5 girls and 5 boys. Our family is really growing... Christmas is going to be crazy this year!

7 Weeks and 1 Day Old

Sutton and I had an amazing morning! We got to see our sweet baby's heartbeat for the first time! Here is our baby's first picture....There was a moment where our doctor hesitated and thought there might be two babies, but after further inspection confirmed only one baby and a yolk sac. You should have seen Sutton's face when he said it might be twins...We are so excited and still can't quite believe we will be parents in November. The baby is due right around Thanksgiving which is perfect since it will be the biggest blessing of our lives. We praise God and thank Him for this miracle. Thank you for your continued prayers and support!

A visit from the other Pages

Russ, Becky, and Davy came for a visit a few weeks ago and we loved getting to spend time with them. It was a laid back weekend with lots of food, good talks, and just overall good quality family time. Here are some pics from their visit...
Hanging out with Uncle Sutton
Davy meets her Great-Grandma Lux for the first time
I think this one is my favorite.
We loved spending the afternoon with Grandma Lux in Eldorado. We enjoyed looking through some of her old scrapbooks and hearing her tell stories. She treated us to her famous homemade rolls hot out of the oven served with butter and her apricot preserves...It was heavenly!
We had dinner with the other side of the family on Saturday night and Davy got to meet her second cousins Griggs and Gardner for the first time. Griggs and Davy were born a couple of days a part last August.

We loved having Papa Paul for brunch on Sunday. He stopped by on his way back to Midland.

Catching up...

I took these pics when we were all home for Maynard's funeral and I am just now getting around to posting them. Everyone was able to be there so it was good to spend time with my family and get my niece and nephew fix.
